My studio is located in Artwood Studios, a former elementary school, which now serves as artist studios and studio-dwellings. It is in Lake City, which is the northeast corner of the Seattle city limits. CLICK HERE for a Google Map of the studio location or see the directions below.

IMPORTANT NOTE - PARKING: This is primarily a residential area and there is plenty of free street parking on NE 135th Street and 39th NE. The two lots that are in close toward the school building are for tenants only so please only park on the street.


From downtown Seattle and the south end...

Take I-5 NORTH and exit at Lake City Way/Bothell. This will funnel you onto Lake City Way heading NORTH. Continue NORTH - about 60 blocks or so - until you reach Fred Meyer on your RIGHT. After you pass Fred Meyer,

take a RIGHT at the NEXT street, which is NE 135th. It is a small street across from the Toyota Dealer. Go up 3 or so blocks and you'll see a park on the RIGHT with a former elementary school above it. My studio is located in that building, which is now called Artwood Studios.

Pass the park and one driveway on the RIGHT, and then park on the street on the RIGHT-hand side (near the flagless flagpole) or anywhere nearby.

Please DO NOT park in the lots - they are for tenants only.

Come on down the stairs into a courtyard and enter through the double doors. Go down the hallway and, just past halfway down, you'll find ROOM #5 on the RIGHT.

Take I-5 SOUTH and exit at NE 145th Street.

Take a LEFT at the stoplight and head EAST, passing back over the freeway.

Stay in the RIGHT-hand lane, and follow NE 145th for about 1.5 miles until you reach Lake City Way, which is a main thoroughfare (there is a 7/11 on the RIGHT, and a McDonald's on the LEFT).

Take a RIGHT, heading SOUTH onto Lake City Way. Get in the left-hand lane and drive until you see a large Toyota Dealer on the RIGHT.
